Kynexion: Annual team bonding trip

Kynexion is one of many employee benefits offered by Kynetix and it is an annual weekend away to a European destination. It is fully funded by Kynetix and gives employees the chance to have fun, relax, connect with each other outside of work and, explore different destinations together as a team.

Kynexion is always highly anticipated and this year proved to be no different. What adds to the excitement is that the destination is a surprise and the team only finds out where they will be travelling to, a week before the departure date. There are some clues given out though, to prevent everyone from being completely in the dark, such as where we will be travelling from, departure times and the predicted weather forecast. This year’s anticipation was high though, with last year’s trip to Lucca, Italy still firmly on everyone’s minds.

This year’s destination was Copenhagen, Denmark. Copenhagen is a highly cultural city and is well known as the home of The Little Mermaid statue, which the team were lucky enough to see as part of a canal tour. As mythical as this statue is, there are many museums, parks, and royal palaces that embellish the culture and style of the Danish capital. The Kynetix team were fortunate to visit Tivoli Gardens, also known simply as Tivoli, an amusement park and garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. The park opened on 15 August 1843 and is the third-oldest operating amusement park in the world.

Here’s an insight to some of the other activities the team got up to:

• Explored the streets of Copenhagen whilst doing an intricate scavenger hunt
• Experienced fantastic food and drinks
• Had a full day at Tivoli Gardens, explored the gardens and had riders passes to all of the rides in the theme park
• Went on the Stromma canal tour, learned about the history of Copenhagen
